After prematurely cancelling the last shows of his U.S. Saint Pablo tour, Kanye West has reportedly also cancelled the planned European tour as a whole. This comes after West cancelled shows in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and a New Year’s Eve show at the Barclay’s Center.
A rep from Live Nation told TMZ that “Kanye West’s SAINT PABLO TOUR never had a confirmed European leg. As such there were no dates to cancel.” Whether the shows were planned or not, it seems that they are definitely not happening now.
West cancelled the rest of his U.S. tour in November after a series of shows interrupted by controversial rants about Hillary Clinton, Google, Facebook, Beyoncé, Jay Z, and president-elect Donald Trump. Soon after West was hospitalized “exhaustion” after police responded to a disturbance call. His mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, told Extra “He’s exhausted. He’s just really tired. He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind, so he just needs to rest.”
Kanye reportedly has an insurance policy that covers him in the event of a tour cancellation. With it, West could be reimbursed for any expenses or lost profits resulting from a cancellation resulting from a medical condition.
