Kendrick Lamar has teamed up again with Reebok for his third sneaker collection, this time designed to promote “unity and equality.” The collection is a reinvention of Reebok’s Club C model.
The shoe sports acid-washed denim in black and white with a red label on the tongue. The Reebok branding on the side is written in all black with the “k” and “o” highlighted – referencing Lamar’s nickname “KDot”.
In a statement to the media, Lamar explained the design by saying that “Now more than ever it is important for individuals to come together as one. This sneaker represents that call for unity and equality, while also pushing people to look beneath the surface and uncover the hidden messages. This is something I try to do with my music, and now here with the Club C.
Lamar’s first collaboration with Reebok came in 2015 with the Ventilator shoe, then again in 2016 with Lamar’s redesign of the Classic Leather sneaker.
The Kendrick Lamar X Reebok Club C will be available starting January 13th, ranging at $109.99 for adult sizes, $70 for kid sizes, and $50 for toddler sizes.
