The two still living members of The Beatles reunited on Sunday (Feb. 19) when Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr went into the studio together.

Ringo’s publicist confirmed that McCartney came to Ringo’s studio to record for Starr’s upcoming album.

“Thanks for coming over and playing Great bass,” Starr wrote on Twitter with a picture of the two in his home. “I love you man peace and love.”

Starr tweeted a second picture of himself, Paul, and Joe Walsh together, saying “And look out Joe W. came out to play what a day I’m having peace and love.”

Bruce Sugar, an engineer for some of Ringo’s recent music, also posted a picture to Facebook with him, Paul, and Ringo. “Magical day in the studio today with these two,” he wrote.

Ringo’s new album is due early this year but has no release date as of yet.
