Nicki Minaj Passes Aretha Franklin for Female Artist With Most Billboard Hot 100 Hits

by Malachi Weaver

Fresh off of dropping three new tracks last week – “No Frauds,” with Drake and Lil Wayne, “Regret in Your Tears,” and “Changed It,” with Lil Wayne – Nicki Minaj has now broken the record for having the most Billboard Hot 100 Hits of any female artist.

All three tracks released by Minaj last week debuted on the chart (at No. 14, 61, and 71, respectively), pushing her overall total to 76 entries. The previous record was held by Aretha Franklin, who currently has 73 entries. Franklin is closely followed by Taylor Swift, who has 70 entries, and Rihanna, with 58.

Franklin will perhaps have a chance to regain her title once she releases her final album later this year. The album is set to be released in September and will feature production by Stevie Wonder.
