Jaden Smith and Shia LeBeouf Make Interactive Anti-Trump Art Installment in NYC

by Malachi Weaver

As a protest to the inauguration of Donald Trump, Jaden Smith and Shia LeBeouf have created an interactive art installment in New York City. Having a camera set up outside the Museum of the Moving Image, the two consider their project “a show of resistance or insistence, opposition, or optimism.”

The installment opened this morning (Jan. 20) at 9 a.m. ET, with Smith himself taking place in part of it. As stated on the project’s website, hewillnotdivide.us., “the public is invited to deliver the words ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ into a camera mounted on a wall outside Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish.”

A live stream of the project can be seen at hewillnotdivide.us. According to the website, the stream will be open “24 hours a day, seven days a week,” for the next for years, “or the duration of the presidency.”

Go to hewillnotdivide.us. to see the stream for yourself.
