Every year, a nationwide high school visual art competition is sponsored by the Congressional Institute. This year’s winner is Tiona Cordova, who painted a portrait of Kendrick Lamar titled “Utmost Appreciation.” The painting will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
Colorado congressman Scott Tipton congratulated Cordova on Twitter for winning 1st place in the competition. The congressman’s congratulations included a picture of the painting.
