written by LP Green

Field & Stream, an outdoor specialty brand owned and operated by leading omni-channel retailer DICK’S Sporting Goods, announced today RIAA’s top digital country male artist of all time and outdoor enthusiast Jason Aldean as the new face of the Field & Stream brand.

Field & Stream products and stores are named for the iconic brand that has been synonymous with outdoor traditions for more than 140 years. Products are sold exclusively at more than 645 DICK’S Sporting Goods and more than 20 Field & Stream stores across the country, and on both retailers’ respective eCommerce sites.

“Outdoor sports and activities have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember,” said Aldean. “Whether it was hunting with my dad and granddad, or fishing with my girls, it’s always been a way for us to spend time together. So, I naturally am into what Field & Stream is all about, and am looking forward to being part of their team.”

Leading the marketing efforts is a new TV ad campaign featuring stories of some of Aldean’s own outdoor traditions with his father, Barry. The new TV spot will air beginning on August 22 on ABC, ESPN the Outdoor Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery, History and more.

“We’re excited to partner with Jason as Field & Stream’s first brand ambassador,” said Lauren Hobart, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Field & Stream. “Our goal was to form an authentic partnership with someone who is genuinely passionate about hunting and fishing, and believes in building traditions through spending time outdoors. Jason was an obvious choice for us.”

Jillian Hervey of LION BABE & Pantene Puts Curls on Display with New Campaign

by LP Green June 20, 2016
written by LP Green

Jillian Hervey, lead singer of R&B/Soul band LION BABE, will take center stage this summer as she joins Pantene to celebrate curly hair. Summer means longer days, weekends at the beach and for curly-haired women, frizz! This summer, Hervey and Pantene will give women the curls they’ve always wanted by helping them fight frizz by strengthening their curls.

Loving @LionBabe’s gorgeous curls! No wonder she’s the new @Pantene brand ambassador! #StrongIsBeautiful

For years, curly-haired women have been told that in order to fight frizz they have to protect their hair against humidity. While humidity is in fact a contributing factor to frizz, the biggest culprit is actually the strength of your hair. With the Pantene Pro-V system, curly hair will be so strong that it’s practically frizz-free all day and will be able to survive summer’s most grueling torture tests, such as a day at the beach, an outdoor summer concert or on the hot and humid subway.

“Once I really started to embrace my curls, my entire world changed, and it’s made me the woman that I am today,” said Hervey. “Keeping my curls strong and healthy is so important, and thanks to Pantene I’ve finally uncovered a routine that allows my curls to be practically frizz-free.”

Hervey will appear in all elements of the brand’s holistic marketing campaign, including TV, print and digital advertising, in-store displays, public relations and social media.

The Recording Academy and CBS Extend Agreement to Broadcast The GRAMMY Awards Through 2026

by LP Green June 20, 2016
written by LP Green

The Recording Academy and CBS announced an extended agreement to keep Music’s Biggest Night on CBS Television Network through 2026. The landmark deal will keep the GRAMMY Awards on CBS, its home since 1973, for 54 consecutive years, establishing a new record for the longest continuous partnership between an awards show and broadcaster in television history. In addition to the awards broadcast, the agreement includes The Recording Academy’s annual two-hour GRAMMY® specials, as well as additional programming opportunities. Details about these additional broadcasts will be announced in the coming months. The 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, 8:00 – 11:30 P.M. ET/PT.

“We’ve called CBS home for more than 40 years, and they have truly become an exceptional partner to The Academy, sharing in our commitment to showcase music’s transformative power through our annual telecast”

“We’ve called CBS home for more than 40 years, and they have truly become an exceptional partner to The Academy, sharing in our commitment to showcase music’s transformative power through our annual telecast,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. “The continuity of this long-standing partnership not only marks an unprecedented milestone in the industry, but also enables The Academy to expand its philanthropic works — preserving our musical heritage, supporting music makers in need, and putting music in more schools to ensure that it remains a lasting part of our culture. We look forward to the next 10!”

“The broadcast of the GRAMMYs and our long-standing relationship with extraordinary partners at The Recording Academy represent an important part of CBS’s past and future,” said Leslie Moonves, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corporation. “Everyone at CBS is proud to reach this milestone with Neil and his team, and we look forward to building on this legacy and creating more GRAMMY moments together well into the next decade and beyond.”

The GRAMMY Awards consistently rank as one of television’s highest-rated and most-watched specials. “The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards” on Feb. 15, 2016 attracted 24.95 million television viewers. Broadcast for the first time on a Monday night, the award show marked CBS’s best Monday in viewers since 1994 and in adults 18 – 49 (7.7) and 25 – 54 (9.1) since 2005.

Sprite Re-Ups Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection with Three New Iconic Artists and 16 Lyrical Designs

by LP Green June 20, 2016
written by LP Green

In hip-hop, authenticity is everything. Beats and rhymes move us, but true lyricism is what makes the music matter most. That’s why Sprite is reintroducing its limited-edition Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection, which will feature three new iconic artists and some of their most empowering lyrics on Sprite packaging this summer.

“The Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection is not only an acknowledgment of the genre’s best storytellers, but also a way of inspiring and empowering our fans to be true to themselves.”

On the heels of last year’s successful program debut, the second edition of the Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection features 16 inspirational lyrics from hip-hop royalty, 2Pac, Missy Elliott and J. Cole. The artists were chosen based on their reputation for remaining true to themselves through their music, storytelling and impact on culture.

“From the moment Sprite tapped into hip-hop culture 30 years ago with our ad featuring Kurtis Blow, the brand has strived to celebrate self-expression and provide artists with platforms to tell their most moving stories,” said Bobby Oliver, director, Sprite & Citrus Brands, Coca-Cola North America. “The Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection is not only an acknowledgment of the genre’s best storytellers, but also a way of inspiring and empowering our fans to be true to themselves.”

Starting later this month, the 16 lyrics will appear on individual 12- and 16-ounce cans, 20-ounce bottles, and 12-, 20- and 24-packs of 12-ounce cans and be available in stores nationwide while supplies last.

The Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection is a continuation of the Obey Your Thirst® campaign, which originated in 1994. As one of the first brands to acknowledge the cultural impact of hip-hop, Sprite has a history of featuring major hip-hop icons like A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Grand Puba and Grandmaster Flash, as well as contemporary greats like Drake, Nas, Missy Elliott, Common and Fat Joe. The first edition of the Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection featured lyrics by Drake, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G. and Rakim.

The second edition of the Sprite Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection features the following lyrics:

2Pac

  • “Keep ya head up” from “Keep Ya Head Up”
  • “If you fall, stand tall and come back for more” from “Keep Ya Head Up”
  • “The gift of speech, the power to reach” from “When We Ride”
  • “Embrace my words make the world change” from “Smile”
  • “I’ll learn from mistakes and try 2 achieve again” from “If I Fail”
  • “Please wake me when I’m free” from “Wake Me When I’m Free”

Missy Elliott

  • “Me I’m supa fly, supa dupa fly” from “Supa Dupa Fly”
  • “How they do it where you from?” from “WTF (Where They From)”
  • “Cause the beat’s so cold” from “WTF (Where They From)”
  • “I won’t settle for less” from “Hot Boyz”
  • “Talk wit it, walk wit it, I’m no gimmick” from “9th Inning”

J. Cole

  • “Goodbye to the bottom, hello to the top” from “Grown Simba”
  • “Love yourz” from “Love Yourz”
  • “We ain’t picture perfect but we worth the picture still” from “Crooked Smile”
  • “I got a dollar and a dream” from “Dollar and a Dream III”
  • “You gotta dream like you never seen obstacles” from “The Autograph”

Sprite will celebrate each of the lyrics on its social channels throughout the summer, as well as during the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE presented by Coca-Cola®, the annual entertainment fest being held June 23-26.

[vc_row][vc_column][text_block_nav title=”Intro”]In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering how in the world she was to get out again.

The rabbit-hole went straight on like a tunnel for some way, and then dipped suddenly down, so suddenly that Alice had not a moment to think about stopping herself before she found herself falling down a very deep well.

Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her and to wonder what was going to happen next.

First, she tried to look down and make out what she was coming to, but it was too dark to see anything; then she looked at the sides of the well, and noticed that they were filled with cupboards and book-shelves; here and there she saw maps and pictures hung upon pegs. She took down a jar from one of the shelves as she passed; it was labelled ‘ORANGE MARMALADE’, but to her great disappointment it was empty: she did not like to drop the jar for fear of killing somebody, so managed to put it into one of the cupboards as she fell past it.[/text_block_nav][text_block_nav title=”Middle”]’Well!’ thought Alice to herself, ‘after such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling down stairs! How brave they’ll all think me at home! Why, I wouldn’t say anything about it, even if I fell off the top of the house!’ (Which was very likely true.)

Down, down, down. Would the fall NEVER come to an end! ‘I wonder how many miles I’ve fallen by this time?’ she said aloud. ‘I must be getting somewhere near the centre of the earth. Let me see: that would be four thousand miles down, I think—’ (for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort in her lessons in the schoolroom, and though this was not a VERY good opportunity for showing off her knowledge, as there was no one to listen to her, still it was good practice to say it over) ‘—yes, that’s about the right distance—but then I wonder what Latitude or Longitude I’ve got to?’ (Alice had no idea what Latitude was, or Longitude either, but thought they were nice grand words to say.)

Presently she began again. ‘I wonder if I shall fall right THROUGH the earth! How funny it’ll seem to come out among the people that walk with their heads downward! The Antipathies, I think—’ (she was rather glad there WAS no one listening, this time, as it didn’t sound at all the right word) ‘—but I shall have to ask them what the name of the country is, you know. Please, Ma’am, is this New Zealand or Australia?’ (and she tried to curtsey as she spoke—fancy CURTSEYING as you’re falling through the air! Do you think you could manage it?) ‘And what an ignorant little girl she’ll think me for asking! No, it’ll never do to ask: perhaps I shall see it written up somewhere.'[/text_block_nav][text_block_nav title=”Ending”]Down, down, down. There was nothing else to do, so Alice soon began talking again. ‘Dinah’ll miss me very much to-night, I should think!’ (Dinah was the cat.) ‘I hope they’ll remember her saucer of milk at tea-time. Dinah my dear! I wish you were down here with me! There are no mice in the air, I’m afraid, but you might catch a bat, and that’s very like a mouse, you know. But do cats eat bats, I wonder?’ And here Alice began to get rather sleepy, and went on saying to herself, in a dreamy sort of way, ‘Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats?’ and sometimes, ‘Do bats eat cats?’ for, you see, as she couldn’t answer either question, it didn’t much matter which way she put it. She felt that she was dozing off, and had just begun to dream that she was walking hand in hand with Dinah, and saying to her very earnestly, ‘Now, Dinah, tell me the truth: did you ever eat a bat?’ when suddenly, thump! thump! down she came upon a heap of sticks and dry leaves, and the fall was over.

Alice was not a bit hurt, and she jumped up on to her feet in a moment: she looked up, but it was all dark overhead; before her was another long passage, and the White Rabbit was still in sight, hurrying down it. There was not a moment to be lost: away went Alice like the wind, and was just in time to hear it say, as it turned a corner, ‘Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it’s getting!’ She was close behind it when she turned the corner, but the Rabbit was no longer to be seen: she found herself in a long, low hall, which was lit up by a row of lamps hanging from the roof.[/text_block_nav][review_summary title=”Review summary” summary=”This is an awesome product that looks great is easy to use” positives=”Great design

How to never be late for a meeting again
