Sean Lennon Releases Song With Willow Smith, Co-written with Carrie Fisher

Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has released a song with Willow Smith, which he co-wrote with the late Carrie Fisher.

Lennon wrote on SoundCloud that he and Fisher wrote the song, “Bird Song,” years ago, and that after Fisher’s death in December he felt he “had to record it.”

“Carrie and I used to stay up til dawn chatting and pontificating about life,” Lennon wrote. “They were my best moments.”

Lennon then got Smith, who he called “a prodigal angel” with a “golden voice,” to record for the song, despite being limited on time. “This is only a demo unmixed, we only had a few hours to record it.”
