In its first week since release, J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only has already gained the rapper a lot of attention. 4 Your Eyez Only, Cole’s fourth studio album, currently claims the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums. The album boasts the third largest release this year – behind only Drake’s Views and Beyoncé’s Lemonade.
Cole earned an equivalent of 492,000 album units, 363,000 of which came from traditional album sales. With 118,000 streaming equivalent albums (51.7 million song streams) Cole also gained the second biggest debut in streaming for any album, short only of Drake’s Views.
Of J. Cole’s four albums, all have reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. His previous album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive went double Platinum, certified but the RIAA in October earlier this year. The other two, Cole World: The Sideline Story and Born Sinner both reached platinum.
